PHILIP YEUNG
Mr. Yeung, the esteemed founder and senior licensed paralegal of Yeung & Associates, boasts a rich history in the legal realm dating back to his graduation from university in 1988 and subsequent tenure at Toronto’s prestigious law firm, Raymond & Honsberger. His comprehensive knowledge spans across immigration law, criminal law, personal injury claims, and various civil litigation services.
With a strong commitment to serving the Chinese community, Mr. Yeung later ventured to establish his own legal services company. This venture allowed him to focus extensively on addressing the unique legal needs of the Chinese demographic.
In 2008, Mr. Yeung attained the distinction of becoming one of the earliest Chinese individuals to obtain the Ontario grand-parent Paralegal License. DENISE JIANG
Ms. Jiang, a partner at Yeung & Associates and a grand-parent licensed paralegal, has been an integral part of the firm since September of 2001. With more than 20 years of experience, Denise focus on motor-vehicle accidents benefits claims. She possesses extensive knowledge of Ontario’s accident benefits legislation, introduced in 1996, and has adeptly navigated significant regulatory changes in 2004, 2010, 2014, and 2016, earning recognition within the legal industry. Among hundreds of License Appeal Tribunal decisions Denise obtained, the most recognizable one is the decision Ni vs. Aviva Insurance Company of Canada – LAT 20-008774/AABS.

SAREENA SAMRA
Sareena Samra is a partner at Yeung & Associates, focusing primarily on Accident Benefits and Tort claims.
Sareena was called to the bar in the United Kingdom in 2005 and moved to Canada completing her requirements at the University of Toronto. She was subsequently called to the Ontario Bar in 2008 and since then she has practiced as a litigator in the Personal Injury Law mainly MVA catastrophic cases.
Sareena applies experience work ethic and preparation to ensure that her clients received the best representation and results. She is dedicated to achieving superior results to provide every one of her clients the highest quality service and the exceptional results they deserve.
RAKESH SHARMA
Rakesh Sharma is a seasoned lawyer having in depth knowledge of the insurance law and Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule. He was called to the Ontario Bar in September, 2013. He is also a Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) of the Insurance Institute of Canada and holds Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation. He served as a Member/ Arbitrator with Licence Appeal Tribunal (Auto Accident Benefits Services) from the year 2017 until the year 2023. He presided over case conferences and rendered decisions as a hearing adjudicator in respect of the disputes pertaining to accident benefits claims under the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule. He has also worked with TD Insurance in various roles including those of Special Investigator (SIU) and Consultant – Statutory Accident Benefits Claims. In February 2024 he brought his wealth of experience and expertise to Yeung & Associates.
ANIL HAMPOLE
A licensed attorney with the Law Society of Ontario, Anil graduated from the University of Alberta Law School in 2015. Anil started his practice of law at a prominent personal injury law firm in Toronto. In 2022, Anil joined Yeung & Associates. Anil has successfully appeared before the Superior Court of Justice, Ontario Court of Justice, and the License Appeal Tribunal, conducting both oral and written hearings. His practice is focused around his clients’ needs. Anil never backs down from a challenging situation.
RYAN OLSON
Ryan Olson is a licensed paralegal registered with the Law Society of Ontario. After obtaining his P1 Paralegal License in Ontario in 2018, he attended the University of Sussex and obtained an honours LLB degree. Ryan is currently in the process of obtaining his Barrister and Solicitor license. He has been working at Yeung & Associates since 2022 and has represented hundreds of clients. Prior to working at Yeung & Associates, Ryan worked at a criminal defense firm where he developed his advocacy skills. Ryan prides himself on his attention to detail and his persistence in fighting for what the client wants.
AYLINA DHANJI
Aylina Dhanji is a practicing Barrister and Solicitor in Ontario. Aylina obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law and graduated with Cum Laude honours. Notably, she was the recipient of the Hennick Business Law Scholarship in both 2020 and 2021. Aylina has gained valuable experience through her previous employment at a leading downtown Toronto insurance defence firm and summer internships at two full-service law firms. CHARLIE ZENG
Charlie Zeng is a seasoned senior legal assistant at Yeung & Associates, having joined the firm in 2013 after a distinguished career spanning over a decade at a prominent law firm in the United States. During his tenure, he handled a wide range of legal cases, including immigration, commercial disputes, and criminal matters, accumulating extensive experience in the field. Charlie possesses exceptional communication skills, enabling him to understand clients’ needs thoroughly and provide tailored assistance accordingly. GLORIA LU
Gloria Lu is a highly skilled senior legal assistant who joined Yeung & Associates in 2016. FRANCES LAM
Prior to joining Yeung & Associates in April 2024, Frances has been working in the personal injury claims industry for nearly 20 years. She was a law clerk at Sue Chen Law Firm for 14 years and later on spent another two years at Certas in house legal team. PAVLOS ACHLIOPTAS
Pavlos Achlioptas was an employee of Yeung & Associates in 2001 and pursued his law degree in the United States in 2007. He obtained his New York State lawyer’s license in 2010 and returned to Canada. After acquiring his Barrister and Solicitor license from the Law Society of Ontario in 2011, he opened his own firm (known as PA Law Firm) and started working on various personal injury claims arising from accidents. He is widely recognized in the industry for his expertise in both Accident Benefits and Pain and Suffering claims, and stands out as one of the few lawyers in Toronto representing plaintiffs in benefits compensation appeals.
In 2018, his prominent case Zheng vs AVIVA Divisional court 175/17 was honored as the top case of the year at the annual benefits compensation seminar hosted by the Law society. The following year, the case once again took the lead among the annual cases recognized by the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA). CHRISTOPHER A. AVERY
Christopher Avery is an esteemed criminal defense attorney with a longstanding collaboration with Yeung & Associates, practising exclusively criminal law. He holds a license with the Law Society of Ontario as well as the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society. He possesses over two decades of extensive experience in criminal litigation.
